Beall's customers donate over $5,000 to Susan G. Komen for the Cure
 
BRADENTON, Fla., - November 25th, 2009 - On Thursday October 22nd, 2009 Beall's Department Stores customers donated $5,743.00 to Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

Beall's Department Stores partnered with the Herald-Tribune Media Group to organize a Think Pink event at nine Beall's Department Stores in the Manatee-Sarasota and Ocala areas. For $3.00, customers and employees could purchase a savings pass, good for an extra 15% off of their purchases. All proceeds from the sale of those passes went directly to Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

Beall's Department Stores corporate employees showed their support, as well, with a corporate Think Pink Day, Thursday, October 22nd, 2009, raising additional funds for Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

Susan G. Komen for the Cure is a not-for-profit organization comprised of dedicated breast cancer survivors and activists, working together to save lives, empower people, ensure quality care for all and energize science to find the cures. Since its inception in 1982, Susan G. Komen for the Cure has invested $1.5 billion in the breast cancer movement.
